AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!! I thought Talk-Talk was the worst company in the UK but this one is by far the worst I have ever met. I booked a a scaffolding tower using their web page for 16th and 17th of April and I received the confirmation email about booking and email said they will call me during the day. The booking showed the cost for 2 days of £32+VAT. The next morning I was at clients house already working and expecting for the tower. Nobody arrived. I called them and some guy by the name James asked over the phone have I rented something from them. I said yes but few years ago and then he said I need to come to their office and bring an ID and proof of address to open a new account. I asked when will someone deliver the tower and the guy says not before Monday which was the 20th. I asked him is this some kind of a joke and then he said those are the company's rules. I asked him then how come the email already confirmed the booking and he didn't know what to say. I went there opened an account and the guy from the front desk calls this James and gives me the phone. I confirmed I need it for 2 days and I asked him when will they pick it up. He said: "Oh I don't know, it's the guy that delivers". Went back to clients house and their guy showed up. I asked him when will he pick it up because I can't leave the tower there he said he doesn't know it's James from the office that arranges the pick-up. So James lied as it seems or he is highly incompetent. Then I was charged £200 for a deposit and NOBODY NOTIFED ME ABOUT THIS!!! No email ,no text messages, nobody said anything, they just charge whatever they want. 3 days later I go back to clients house and the tower is still there!!! It was supposed to be away 3 days ago. What if someone steals it??? I send an email to ask about refund and again this James says oh it will be processed. To make things worse I got partial refund and £90 was missing. I sent an email again and asked for invoice. To my shock they charged me 70£ for delivery and also instead of 2 days they charged me for a week for the tower so I am out of pocket. I send an email again asking this James why nobody notified me about this and then he lied how "this was discussed". Well James maybe in your head it was. So this terrible company caused me to lose 2 days of paid work which is £440 and £90 because they can't notify clients what the costs of renting are. I contacted the solicitor and she said their actions are misleading and against the Consumer Act. I will be taking legal actions and taking this to the court to ask for compensation. By far the worst experience I have ever had with any UK company. This guy James has absolutely no clue what he is doing, he makes things up, lies, can't organise deliveries or pick up and has the nerve to claim how something was discussed when it never happened. If I could I would give -100 rating because absolutely nothing was done right, not a single action. Highly incompetent staff and highly misleading company. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
