G.A. Plant and Materials

Disappointing Floor & Edge Sander Hire I hired GA Plant’s Floor and Edge Sander Package Deal to restore the approximately 20m² wooden floor in my living room, hoping to avoid the cost and disruption of replacing the floor. Unfortunately, after only one pass, both threaded screws/fasteners on the main floor sander broke. I reported this to GA Plant the same day, but they said they had no backup machine available. I even spent time going around Swindon trying to find replacement screws myself, without success. I was told the screws broke because I had loosened/tightened them too hard. However, I was given no practical demonstration, despite the paperwork having “Demonstration – GIVEN” ticked. The edge sander also became impossible to loosen when I tried to change the sanding disc for the second time, despite not intentionally overtightening it. In the end, I completed only around 5% of my 20m² floor, yet still had to clean the entire room of sanding dust. I was charged the full £136.50, including an £8 “damage to belt” charge, despite reporting the equipment failure on the same day. I have photographs of the broken fasteners, equipment and paperwork. I understand equipment can occasionally fail, but I would have expected better support, a replacement machine if available, or some consideration of the hire charge when almost the entire job was left unfinished. Based on my experience, I would not hire this https://gaplant.co.uk/product/floor-and-edge-sander-package-deal/ floor-sanding package again.

I've used G.A. plant a few times. Always a good reliable service. We plan to keep using them for plant. And start using them for loose aggregate on our next job

We buy our garden landscaping materials from here . Good prices and prompt delivery to your drop off point . Highly recommended 👌

Needed some Plum chippings so called these guys - Shane answered and he could not have been more helpful. He listened to our requirements and gave us several options. Overall an excellent service and a competitive price so will definately be using them again.

Absolutely amazing service again from these guys, I only ordered late last night and was not expecting delivery until after Christmas. But lo and behold they were delivered at 8 am this morning only 8 hours after I place my order. Fantastic range of products and realistic prices and the best customer service in Swindon. This is the second time I have ordered from GA Plant and aggregates and will be ordering soon again the new year. The NO1 place in Swindon to get your building materials and more. Thank you guys and have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year 🙏

Bought aggregates and hired a mixer for a day from GA - very competitive price, delivery went smoothly. Due to hiccups our end we were not able to use the mixer on the day we requested - GA very helpfully let us have the mixer longer and didn’t charge for the additional days. If I have a need for this type of item/machine hire I will come straight to GA and would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks for a perfect transaction .

Zac and team were fantastic. They had some network issues which made the process more difficult, however Zac allowed me to place and receive my order in advance of paying. He kept me updated on the entire process and squeezed us in for a delivery before the bank holiday weekend which no other company would do. I highly recommend and will use them again in future for other projects.
