Castle Grab Hire

Castle Grab Hire is a local family-run business based in Edinburgh. The company operates 32-tonne 8-wheel Volvo grab lorries with approximately 16 tonnes payload and a crane reach of up to 7 metres from the side of the truck. It holds a SEPA Registered Carrier Licence: WCR/R/3009194. Grab hire services are provided across Edinburgh and the Lothians, including Leith, Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Livingston, Bathgate, Queensferry, Bonnyrigg, Penicuik, and Haddington. The main services are muck away, aggregate delivery, and site clearance.

In Edinburgh and the surrounding district, Castle Grab Hire draws consistent praise for grab lorry and skip hire work, with customers highlighting prompt arrivals and uncomplicated service. Several reviewers note that deliveries and uplifts take place when promised, often the following day, and that a text confirms the booking in advance. Colin, named repeatedly, is described as a courteous and capable operator who positions skips exactly where requested.

A point made in several accounts is value for money: customers who compared quotes report the service as the cheapest they found, and one mentions that clearing rubble and soil this way saved both effort and expense compared with skips. The aggregate and topsoil side also attracts positive comments, with a generous quantity of good-quality soil delivered on schedule. Communication before and after the job features regularly, as does the polite and helpful manner of the driver. Those with household and landscaping waste describe the work being completed efficiently, and a number of accounts state the company would be used again for further removals or waste collection.
